Steiner, Michael
Born 1945. A leading member of the Bennington school, abstract artists associated with Bennington College, Michael Steiner creates sophisticated abstract sculptures, often with repetitive, geometric patterns. His works are in the collections of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, New York, Massachusetts Institute of Technology Museum, Cambridge, MA, Musee d'Art Moderne et d'Art Contemporain, Nice, France, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, MA, Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, TX, Museum of Modern Art, New York, Whitney Museum of American Art, NY, among others. Kathy collaborated with Michael as his masterprinter and platemaker starting in 1983 through 1987.
