Schina, Mary
Mary Schina is a Greek artist who lives and works in Athens. She studied Printmaking and typography-graphic design at the Athens School of Fine Arts, lithography at the Εcole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris. She taught Plastic Art at the Athens College - Psychiko and printmaking at the Athens School of Fine Arts. Her work has been shown in international Biennials in Greece and abroad. She was awarded two prizes in Kyoto, Japan, 2003 and in Triennial Krakow, Poland, 2009. She participated in the exhibition of the Hellenic Presidency of the Council of the European Union in Brussels 2014 and a special stamp (40,5 x 40 mm) issued on the occasion of the Hellenic Presidency, featuring a detail of her woodcut ‘‘Aegean Odes’’.
